The Local Energy Alliance Program (LEAP‐VA) conducts energy efficiency retrofit programs in central
and northern Virginia regions, with plans to expand in response to client contracts and other business
opportunities. LEAP’s programs focus on residential and commercial sectors. LEAP conducts these
programs utilizing public and private funding. This includes U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) funding
through the Better Buildings Grants awarded nationally by DOE and State Energy Program grants. Due
to significantly increased operations, LEAP plans to hire a highly experienced, highly skilled Regional Manager to direct programs in Northern Virginia (NOVA). This individual will work closely with the Director of Operations (DOO) and Executive Director (ED) to ensure NOVA programs fully support the overall goals and objectives of the organization. The Local Energy Alliance Program (LEAP‐VA) seeks a mission‐focused, innovative, and energetic leader with some experience in building science and/or energy efficiency. The RPM will assist in promoting and implementing the commercial and residential energy efficiency programs in NOVA with a particular focus on the communities of Fairfax, Alexandria, and Arlington County. Primary duties also include building and fostering collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders including local government, network contractors, financial institutions, civic organizations, local businesses, NGO’s, funders, utilities, and more.
A solid educational background, with undergraduate degree required and advanced degree preferred. LEED, BPI, PE and other similar certifications strongly desired.
As a prerequisite, the successful candidate must understand and support in LEAP’s core values and be driven by its mission. The candidate should demonstrate a knowledge of, and passion for creatively working within a dynamic organization breaking new ground in community‐based energy efficiency. An entrepreneurial spirit and an ability to set and achieve self-directed goals is a must for success. Beyond that, LEAP seeks a candidate with proven experience in scaling an organization to a regional and level, along with a demonstrated ability to both lead and build the capabilities of a team. The successful candidate will have had project management experience with a for‐profit or highly complex non‐profit organization.

At least three years experience in program development and implementation. Ideally the candidate will have knowledge of and direct experience in energy efficiency program management in the commercial or residential sectors, or the ability to assimilate understanding of this type of business and its multiple demands.
Compensation will be commensurate with experience, along with a benefit package.
