North East Region: Construction Manager Position:

  • Fast Growing Solar Company with 20MW’s of Projects secks motivated Project/Construction Manager to join us, in building high quality, Solar PV Assets in MA and the North East.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Fast Growing Solar Company with 20MW’s of Projects secks motivated Project/Construction Manager to join us, and build high quality, low cost, Solar PV Assets in MA and the North East.
  • Minimum of a high school diploma accompanied by OSHA 30 training and college course work in business administration/Project Management. NABCEP Certification preferred
  • Has managed a minimum of 3MW of commercial scale PV projects and at least 1 project of 1MW or greater.  Experience with at least 5 unique fixed tilt racking systems.
  • Proven to ability to manage multi-million dollar construction projects, and the ability to multi-task multiple high value projects at the same time.
  • This person should have a diverse background with both entrepreneurial experience and at least 5 years of project management experience in heavy construction management and preferably solar project Management.
  • Possess excellent communication, cash management, financial management, reporting and scheduling skills.  Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to work unsupervised while producing results.
  • Must be proficient with mobile computing/devices with an emphasis on MS Excel, and other MS Office Suite
  • Experience working with city/county permitting offices, specifically pulling building and electrical permits;
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, insurance issues, and permitting/inspection issues
  • Ability to manage multiple projects budgets, schedules, change orders, personnel, etc.
  • Travel is required for this position, and should be available to travel 60% of the time, depending on job location.
  • Must be comfortable around tools and willing to pick up a wrench

Job Duties:

  • Establish budget and schedule based on company guidelines and local knowledge
  • Manage daily work flow functions for each project, including continued client service utilizing email and phone, completing a deadline driven task list, and follow through once a project is complete
  • Monitor each project’s continued flow by communicating with the Project Development team, management, Procurement, Vendors, sub-contractors, and clients or customers while conducting him/herself in a professional and positive manner
  • Track project expenditures, including the original time line of a project, in addition to necessary rework.
