New opportunity based in the greater Renton, Washington area for an experienced Project Accountant/ Analyst to partner with Business Units and Project Managers and provide a full range of financial and project analysis and reporting support.


Partner with Business Unit Leaders and Construction Project Managers to create and manage a service-oriented function that provides solutions for business challenges, including: financial and project analysis; communication support; project setup, costs and periodic reporting; reconciliations; project development deal review; timely and accurate project status monthly and quarterly reporting schedules and analysis for review and forecasting.

Coordinate monthly reviews with Construction Project Managers to evaluate status of each project, analyze costs and cost accruals, prepare forecasts, adjust budgets; review all project costs, capitalized costs, and accruals; coordinate with internal teams ensure proper project cost and revenue reporting; prepare final project close-out analysis; facilitate training, report development, business portal access, and regular and accurate use of accounting information.

Monitor and analyze project revenues and costs to ensure complete and accurate cost accumulation and revenue recognition, prepare revenue deferral schedules, cost adjustments, account reconciliations, and other related items for and provide to Accounting Transactions team with supporting information for processing in the correct accounting period; ensure accurate and timely closing deadlines are achieved and in full compliance with U.S. GAAP. 

Perform regular review with Project Managers and Billing Specialists to manage Accounts Receivable and ensure timely invoicing of projects; monitor project billings, credit memos, and project aging.

Participate with Accounting to prepare and review project-related SOX documents and testing; prepare project schedules and analysis for auditors and assist with internal/external audit

Provide assistance with establishing and updating project accounting policies and procedures, maintaining systems of internal controls, and other projects as required.

Interface with MS Dynamic accounting system and workflow/document management system as required to ensure accurate documentation for organizational use and drive toward continuous process efficiency and improvement.

Foster a positive and effective customer and team-oriented work environment that facilitates collaborative relationships, drives business cycle closing requirements and continuous process improvement.

Perform other duties as required.



Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance. Master degree or advanced education preferred.

Minimum 7 years engineering or construction project accounting work experience addressing financial and management accounting issues, with proven understanding of US GAAP and project contracts requirements. Familiarity with large scale/ commercial/ industrial engineering and construction preferred.

Demonstrated experience with MS Dynamics or similar project accounting software system.

Advanced business acumen with superior numeric, analytical, problem-solving, financial reporting skills and abilities.

Demonstrated commitment to customer service including adaptability, flexibility, teambuilding, and the ability to respond quickly to assist with problem resolution.

Proven ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues at multiple management and business unit levels and locations.

Excellent verbal, written, computer, financial data, internal consulting, and customer-focused communication and presentation skills.

Strong organizational skills with proven ability to follow through on multiple tasks and priorities.

Valid Driver License in good standing, issued by resident state required.

U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.

May be required to pass security clearance.

Travel required.
