New opportunity based in Framingham, MA for a Payroll Specialist with ADP experience to join Ameresco’s Human Resources Team.  Will assist the Payroll Administrator with company-wide payroll and related tasks including, taxes, deductions, benefits support, reporting, and compliance. 


Assist with the preparation and processing of bi-weekly, multi-state, hourly, and salary payroll.

Coordinate business unit communication to collect, compile, enter, and review hourly timesheet data.

Review payroll data for accuracy, employee record changes, and management approval/ authorization. 

Prepare and maintain periodic payroll reports including earnings, tax, deduction summaries. 

Activate new payroll profiles and assist employees with electronic payroll access and guidelines

Maintain current knowledge of federal, state, local tax, wage and hour laws.

Process and maintain payroll information with strict security safeguards and confidentiality. 

Serve as a point of contact for payroll related questions, inquiries, and concerns. 

Ensure compliance with company practices as well as local, state, federal laws and guidelines.

Perform other duties as required.




Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline. Payroll Professional Certification desirable.

Minimum 3-4 years ADP Payroll multi-state processing experience including hourly and salary payrolls.

Proficiency with ADP PayXpert software preferred. Familiarity with ADP PC Payroll or HRB, Payforce, Workforce Now helpful.

Proven knowledge of federal, state and local tax, wage and hour laws and requirements.

Direct experience performing payroll-related benefits administration including 401K, flexible spending, workers compensation, census reports, insurance and billing reconciliation.

Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidential and privacy safeguards.

Strong verbal, written, computer, and data communication and presentation skills.

Valid Driver License in good standing, issued by state of residence.

U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.

May require flexibility to work varied schedule needs.
