  • Conduct in-field inspections of recently completed residential energy efficiency upgrades, or in process installations, to ensure they conform to Program requirements and convey the inspection results in a timely manner to program management and the contractor community as required.
  • Perform technical measurements, testing, and on-site verification services for comparison to program documentation and reporting.
  • Support in-field and quality improvement training efforts for staff and program participants.
  • Enter inspection data into the Program database.
  • Create detailed inspection reports and provide reporting to the Field Manager in a timely manner for review.
  • Follow-up with contractors and program participants as required by the Field Manager.
  • Host meetings with contractors, as needed, to review inspection findings and plan remediation efforts when necessary.


  • Inspector must have a minimum of 5 years experience in residential construction.
  • Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Energy auditing experience and/or BPI certifications highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and writing), including ability to communicate technical concepts to contractors, homeowners, program staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Computer proficiency, experience with Windows based computers, Microsoft Office, energy modeling software.
  • Ability to conduct in-field training for contractors.
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team setting.
  • Satisfactory background check required.
  • Must be capable of carrying 50 lbs.


Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
