Job Purpose

The Field Coordinator will provide field services to support various retail channels, by conducting regular retail visits, consumer education and training, presentations at participating retailer outlets in the Utility’s Service territory, such as appliances, electronics, lighting, and home improvement contractor business partners.

Duties and responsibilities

Responsible for managing field activities and providing support to efficiency programs from start to end contract completion.

  • Support Efficiency programs by processing orders, preparing reports and correspondenceto internal and external customers.
  • Represent our client to retailers, contractors, and distributors.
  • Ensure program products are up-to-date and accurate in assigned territory (daily driving required).
  • Serve as the representative for our Clients outreach events. Educate customers at eventsabout the energy efficiency program(s).
  • Assist in meeting/event planning and organization for program events.
  • Convey new and upcoming developments in the program to retailers, contractors, distributors and customers.
  • Gather valuable feedback to help track and measure the Program’s success in  transforming the marketplace.
  • Communicate program goals and activities to the participating retailers, contractors, customers and you team.
  • Interface with the public and handle customer issues, complaints and questions.
  • Performs related work as required.

Qualifications include:

  • 1-3 years of experience, preferably in an external facing customer service role.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams is preferred.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in efficiency program management.
  • Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • A Certain degree of creativity, critical thinking, and latitude is required.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Detail oriented and highly organized.
  • Customer Service experience preferred.

Working conditions

  • Comfortable with a high amount of driving with access to reliable transportation.
  • Performing duties and attending events during the evening and on the weekend occurs occasionally and may be required.

Physical requirements

  • Ability to bend, stoop. Reach, stand, move from one area of the building to another on a regular basis, sit and use a computer for a long period of time.
  • Ability to lift and carry stacks of forms and documents weighing up to 15 pounds.
