Description

My client is a leading investment company based in London with more than £3B of assets under management. They operate in the renewable industry and they are looking for an experienced Portfolio Manager to run their assets across different countries they have presence in.

Position Overview:
This Portfolio Manager will need to have both technical and commercial acumen to manage the assets across the company and will work closely with the Portfolio Director, being mainly in charge of financial project management, budget construction and cash flow. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking for a new challenge along one of the best consultancies.

Responsibilities:


  • Analyse Provisional Acceptance Certificate (PAC) reports from TAs and assist in mitigating any outstanding issues
  • Approve the issuance of the PAC
  • Comment and provide guidance to the portfolio managers on ad hoc technical issues that arise on projects by proactively engaging with our technical advisers and Partners
  • Analyse and consolidate construction monitoring reports from our TAs, communicating the information concisely to the Solar Portfolio Team
  • Analyse Provisional Acceptance Certificate (PAC) reports from Technical Advisers and assist in mitigating any outstanding issues
  • Comment on, and approve where necessary,  Change Orders that are raised by the Partner's Project Managers (PMs)
  • Engage with Technical Partner to ensure that EPC contracts and appendices are robust from a technical perspective
  • Co-ordinate construction monitoring visits with our Technical Advisers and the Partner's Project Management Team
  • Undertake construction monitoring visits alongside the Technical Team to ensure conformance of our EPC contractors to the relevant industry standards
  • Co-ordinate PAC site visits with Project Management and Technical Adviser
  • Analyse technical reports from LS Asset Management and comment on the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) management provided by LS Technical Asset Managers

Education:

MSc in Finance, MBA or Economics

Core Requirements:

  • Background in financial services
  • Experience in Project Finance
  • Strong written communication skills, 
  • Strong presentation skills 
  • Good interpersonal and coaching skills 
  • Proactive with a strong sense of ownership 
  • Excellent organisational and management skills 
  • Flexibility to handle fast moving situations 
  • Ability to work flexibly and intensively when needed
