New opportunity based in Tempe, Arizona for an experienced Project Management Engineer to support the development and implementation of energy savings performance contracting projects, new technology applications, and renewable energy initiatives.
Prepare and provide conceptual design engineering, cost estimates, and proposal engineering support for development efforts including drawing preparation, schedules, and narratives.
Collaborate with Project Team to establish design intent and performance requirements.
Review detailed design documents including drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
Provide engineering support and guidance throughout construction, commissioning, and start-up to resolve field concern and ensure proper system installation, project completion and delivery.
Support engineering needs for operating projects including troubleshooting, training, and documentation preparation.
Direct and manage consultants for air permit and electrical interconnect applications.
Coordinate with equipment vendors to obtain proposals and issue accurate purchase orders.
Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety, standards, practices, codes.
Perform other duties as required.
BSME, BSEE or equivalent four year technical engineering degree.
Minimum 3 years progressive engineering experience in power generation or industrial work environments, including facility operations and mechanical installation projects involving co-generation, heating, cooling, HVAC system analysis, automation, and renewable technologies.
Current Engineer in Training (EIT) registration preferred.
Demonstrated electrical, mechanical process, and control systems aptitude.
Commissioning and troubleshooting experience preferred.
Strong computer applications skills including AutoCAD, Excel, PV Syst, Google Sketch up.
Ability to successfully complete training and testing required for the position.
Excellent organization skills including proven ability to manage and complete complex project requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Strong verbal, written, computer communication and technical presentation skills.
Valid Driver License issued by state of residence and in good standing.
U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
May be required to pass security clearance investigation.
Ability to travel required.
