Sr. Managers - Utility and Distributed Generation (DG) Projects play a key role in Managing all activities required to complete utility-scale and DG solar energy projects on time and under budget.  Sr. Managers - Utility and DG Projects are responsible for reviewing engineering documents, scope of work, bid proposals, tracking schedule and cost information for accurate reporting of project progress and work closely with Project Managers with coordinating activities across multiple departments and functions.


Lead technical discussions during Engineering Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract negotiations; ensure contract compliance with technical aspects of executed EPC contracts; lead EPC scoping and estimating; write EPC specifications and evaluate proposals from contractors

Manage utility interconnection, grid integration, and high voltage equipment selection, installation and operations (including substations and transmission, distribution, and protection systems); coordinate discussions with the utilities regarding these requirements; provide technical support with interconnection studies and agreements on Projects

Support Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) negotiations and administration; ensure that EPC contracts comply with the technical requirements of PPA and IA contracts

Work closely with the Project Finance, Construction, Design and Engineering, Quality and Services,  teams to satisfy all requirements for Technical and  commercial operation and financial close

Cost management; provide budget estimates for EPC activities and update project cost of goods sold (COGS) and cash flow forecasts to reflect current information

Provide forecasts resource needs. Assist in identifying and hiring new technical staff



Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field or foreign equivalent

Experience or education must include:

Protective Relaying, Fault Analysis in Power Systems, Power Distribution systems, Digital Signal Processing, Solid state devices, Probabilistic systems in Electrical Engineering, Load Analysis and Load Forecasting, Reliability of distribution systems and distributed generation (DG)

Project scoping and estimating,

 Writing specifications, construction cost estimates, project scheduling and evaluating subcontractor proposals

 Experience designing substations 15kV through 220kV

Preparing complex engineering calculations following standard methods and principles for High Voltage Engineering

Experience with procurement & contract administration

 Experience with process, procedures for project controls and estimating

Experience or education with Power Flow studies and calculations using technical computing software Matlab or Etap.
