The individual selected for this position will participate in the implementation of software solutions for internal and external clients leveraging an existing framework and enhancing that framework with new features. A thorough understanding of the technologies we use and a passion to extend and expand that knowledge is very important. Enjoy independent and collaborative methods to research, evaluate and determining the most effective and elegant solutions to problems. You will work both autonomously and as a team committed to producing results. Responsibilities will include:

  • Learn and understand the business requirements, current applications and design enhancements needed.
  • Analyze software problems with advanced debugging techniques
  • Integrate design changes and enhancement requests into the infrastructure of the application.
  • Investigate the impact of changes to the application infrastructure and inform developers and data analysts on any risks involved
  • Produce results and expected deliverables in an agile environment with short delivery timeframes
  • Effectively collaborate with team members as well as internal and external clients.
  • Continuously improve technical knowledge and skills
  • Communicate with management and others regarding project opportunity and risks in an effective and timely manner
  • Assist in the preparation of required documentation
  • Assist other staff in debugging and solving programming or design issues


  • BS/BA in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent design and programming skills
  • Ability to quickly comprehend and take ownership of an existing source code base
  • Drive and passion for technology
  • Extensive development experience within a large organization
  • Self starter
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • An in-depth understanding of systems, data architecture, and configuration management
  • Must be a team player and be able to work in an operationally critical, diverse and dynamic environment
  • Experience with integrated software engineering processes including unit testing, source control, and documentation generation
  • Strong skills in analysis, design, development and deployment of enterprise application systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills across all layers of an application

Required Technology Experience for .NET Developers:

  • 3+ years .Net Framework
  • 3+ years C#
  • 3+ years Oracle 10g and/or SQL Server
  • 3+ years PL/SQL and or T/SQL
  • Visual Studio experience is mandatory

The ideal candidate will also have experience in the following areas:

  • Exposure to WPFPrism applications
  • Experience working with an ORM, preferably Nhibernate
  • Experience with memory and performance profiling as well as code optimization techniques
  • Experience with XML serialization
  • Experience with profiling tools
  • Experience with debugging multithreaded applications
  • Experience in troubleshooting production defects

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
