CSG is seeking a full-time Data Analyst to work in our Mid-Atlantic Regional office in Iselin, NJ, to assist in daily operations. The successful candidate will work with other team members, and Central IS to maintain data integrity, prepare regular reports for clients, and perform special analyses for clients. The Data Analyst will also provide feedback to CSG’s Central IS team on opportunities to improve the CSG systems to meet the demands of clients and changing Program requirements.


The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual reports and develop new reports on an ad hoc basis
  • Work with the Central IS team to automate the import and export of data between CSG systems and external client databases
  • Provide database support to staff to ensure consistent and accurate data entry and storage
  • Develop and manage data analysis systems for a variety of tasks, activities, and reports
  • Participate in creation, implementation, and maintenance of data policies and objectives
  • Provide a critical interface between the CSG administrative staff and clients
  • Interact and coordinate with management to identify and address risks or problems with current database structures, processes and procedures
  • Implement Quality Control processes
  • Provide backup support to the department manager
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
  • Some travel to other offices within the Mid-Atlantic region as needed


  • 3+ years of experience writing PL/SQL scripts and T-SQL scripts
  • Superior working skills in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Access
  • Advanced Excel and Access skills including advanced formulas, macros, and VBA programming
  • 1-3 years of demonstrated experience in database design and management
  • Skilled in utilizing IS solutions to re-engineer procedures to improve operational efficiency
  • Good technical documentation skills
  • Sharp attention to detail, excellent organizational and self-directed skills
  • Ability to initiate, coordinate and prioritize responsibilities and follow through on project tasks
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment and work effectively with a variety of people
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in an environment of frequent and often short deadlines
  • Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals
  • Experience using Microsoft SSRS or SSIS reporting and ETL services a plus
  • Experience in energy efficiency program administration or building trades a plus


Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
