Description

Position Summary:

The Database Architect will lead and drive CSG’s enterprise database architecture, standards, and strategy by defining, implementing, and communicating the enterprise database vision for operational usage across the business.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for technical design and implementation of database schemas and large scale enterprise designs which demonstrate the ability to scale.
  • Set ETL standards (tools, methods, and documentation.)
  • Drive the build out of the cloud-based Business intelligence platform, tools, and project.
  • Create designs for incremental database schemas changes and provide performance design recommendations to development teams.
  • Influence and guide technology strategy and product delivery for internal and external teams.
  • Work collaboratively with developers, business analysts, stakeholders, and management to define new (and enhance existing) features that are aligned with CSG’s overall long term strategy.
  • Research new features, software and tools.

  • Perform and deliver in a fast paced agile environment.
  • Support multiple concurrent projects in an efficient manner with limited supervision.
  • Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel - both written and verbal.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Innovative and seasoned architect with proven leadership experience.
  • Ability to multi-task and stay focused and organized in a dynamic work environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to plan, scope, and document requirements for a feature or project.
  • Experience with both Oracle and Microsoft technologies including Oracle (9i, 10g, 11g,) C#, LINQ, SQL Server.
  • Expertise in BI, Data Warehousing, and ETL.
  • Experience in database configuration and profiling.

Education and Experience Required:

  • BS in Computer Sciences preferred or other related field or equivalent experience required.
  • 10+ years development experience.
  • 3+ years architecture experience.
  • Database architecture and administration training and certification very desirable.
  • Experience with cloud computing desirable.

 

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
