Summary:

Come join a fast-paced, ever-evolving growth environment dedicated to helping homeowners spend less to be more comfortable in their homes. Successful candidates will be responsible for leading a two person team, consisting of a Lead Home Energy Advisor and a Home Energy Technician, conducting comprehensive and precise residential home energy assessments in accordance with the standards in the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund and Next Step Living practices.

The Lead Home Energy Advisor will educate home owners in energy efficiency practices – both basic weatherization improvements as well as deeper energy saving measures. They will promote and encourage the adoption of sound energy efficiency recommendations, install Instant Savings Measures at the time of the assessment and provide the opportunity for home owners to learn more about deeper energy efficiency offerings.  Lead Home Energy Advisors must be able to travel daily to customer homes to perform home assessments in their personal vehicles.

·         Interact with homeowners and tenants, answering questions regarding energy efficiency and move customers to adopt the best recommendations to improve their home

·         Promotes and encourages adoption of energy saving measures recommended based on the home energy assessment, including weatherization, windows, heat pump and solar.

·         Manage the Home Energy Technician, determining the most effective efficiency improvements to implement during the home energy assessment

·         Position requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends

New hires begin as Trainees while they complete classroom and field training. Upon successful completion of the training, Trainees are promoted to Lead Home Energy Advisors and begin their individual home assessment schedule.
