Marketing Internship


We are a national clean-tech energy education provider dedicated to training incumbent workers, veterans and career-changers. Our group of bright, hard-working, passionate individuals are committed to providing articulate, concise, easy to understand curricula, courses and online programs to help candidates advance in our sustainable and environmentally conscious society. 


We offer courses in solar installation, building science, home and commercial energy auditing, and sustainable design. Our product development team is also in the process of branching out across other forms of renewable energy sources and clean-technologies. It is definitely an innovative, fast-paced and exciting place to be! 


The Marketing Intern will report to the director of marketing and will need to quickly learn advanced search engine optimization (SEO). Attention to detail, professional phone etiquette, ability to work autonomously, and problem-solving skills are required. A strong knowledge of social media, tech savvy, and proficiency in data analytics (ex: Google AdWords) preferred. Access to all curricula is be provided and interns are encouraged to use this opportunity to learn more about sustainability, energy efficiency, and renewable technologies. 


Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Designing marketing campaigns 
  • Learning how to effectively deploy Google Analytics and other SEO tools 
  • Assisting with development of market strategies 
  • Collaborating with and reporting directly to our Director of Online Marketing 
  • Writing and editing blog posts 
  • Researching specific target markets in the clean-tech industry


Required Skills: 

  • Able to take initiative and work independently 
  • Experience with writing copy and press releases 
  • Exceptional design skills (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, HTML/CSS) 
  • Highly organized 
  • Naturally outgoing and social 
  • Ability to operate well in a collaborative environment 
  • Very comfortable with social media 
  • Previous experience in communications, media relations, journalism, marketing, or branding desirable 
  • Ideally graphic design major with computer graphic or website construction experience
