CSG is currently seeking a Senior Financial Coordinator for the NYSERDA programs located in our Albany, NY office. We are seeking a take-charge individual who is self-motivated, and has excellent financial, communication and organizational skills. This person reports to the Finance and Administration Manager and also works closely with the CSG Corporate Controller.

 

Principal responsibilities include financial reporting, program financial tracking, financial analysis of P&L, monthly reporting, monitoring expenses and expense accounts, and producing some client billing.  Other responsibilities include supporting the Finance and Administration Manager with incentive forecasting and budgeting, establishing systems and procedures to ensure compliance with client requirements, implementing program-wide financial management processes and programs as well as providing information to the Program Operations Manager. A minimum of five years financial experience and advanced Excel skills plus knowledge of Access is required.

 

:

  • Analyze monthly production revenue metrics and provide summary reports/forecast to Finance and Administration Manager
  • Perform weekly Unanet time scrub and identify/correct discrepancies. Produce reports as requested by Functional Managers or Finance and Administration Manager
  • Compile weekly integration files for payment of contractors, refund customer deposits, rebate payments and special programs (as needed).  Maintain process to audit accuracy of payments.
  • Prepare financial variance analysis for Finance and Administration Manager to review monthly
  • Analyze and monitor specific financial and operational results for current programs at the Finance and Administration Manager’s request
  • Track and Perform weekly analysis of Field Staff inventory levels and provide summary report to Finance and Administration Manager
  • Facilitate the monthly inventory reconciliation process and identify and explain variances
  • Work closely with Finance/Operations/Program Managers and other Accounting staff to research and collect financial inputs for use in reporting and forecasting
  • Prepare monthly client billing and supporting documentation for approval by Program Manager or Finance and Administration Manager for specified programs.
  • Assist in the completion of the Monthly Financial Close (including accruals, billable hours, and intercompany entries)
  • Help compile month end CSG reports, including assisting with the analysis of financial performance and operations for managerial review
  • Assist with financial tracking/analysis as requested by Sr. Managers
  • Work with Finance and Administration Manager to establish and maintain accounting practices and controls to ensure accurate and reliable data necessary for business operations
  • Maintains and distributes ad-hoc reports and financial models as needed
  • Review all current contracts signed by CSG for accuracy and validity. Identify errors, and inconsistencies and report them to the Finance and Administration Manager
  • Assist with the development of several annual budgets
  • Identify risks or problems with current processes and procedures and recommend changes
  • Other duties/projects as assigned by the Finance and Administration Manager, and the Program Operations Manager.

 

Requirements

  • HS Diploma and some college preferred, preferably in finance or business, and at least two years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Experience with financial work with construction trades a plus.
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, financial reporting and cost control.
  • Knowledge of internal control, auditing policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Ability to utilize database and recordkeeping systems.
  • Ability to effectively and simply communicate accounting information, policies, and/or procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and intermediate knowledge of Access is required.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and/or projections.
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Skill in examining and identifying improvements for operations and procedures.
  • Strong project management and financial modeling skills.

 

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
