Position Description

Reporting to the company President, the V. P. of Operations will be responsible for oversight of an operations group consisting of engineers, project managers, other operations personnel and service providers. The individual in this role will be responsible for reviewing proposals developed by account managers; ensuring that project request are handled in a prompt and effective manner; developing project budgets; determining manpower allocations; monitoring project status and progress towards completion; and ensuring customer needs are being met in a timely manner.

This is a very hands-on position that will work closely with customers, operations and other functions to ensure that proper design specifications and installations are completed as planned. The V.P. of Operations will monitor compliance with established standards and be responsible for problem resolution.

This person must be able to handle multiple projects and tasks, from project inception through project launch and completion. Additionally, this individual will play an active role in the processes to ensure products meet quality standards consistent with design specifications and various regulatory requirements. The V.P. of Operations will also initiate corrective and preventive actions, to ensure customer satisfaction.



The ideal candidate would have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in electrical engineering and construction. Professional Engineer Registration preferred. This position is a member of a four person leadership team that provides strategic direction and oversight of all key company matters. The ability to communicate with the management team, employees, suppliers and key customers is also necessary. Strong, proven leadership is key for this role.
