Current Job Opportunity Summary:

CSG’s Residential Conservation Division is currently seeking a self-motivated, goal oriented, junior level engineer to join our Consulting team serving New England.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist engineering staff with data collection, field and office

  • Assist in energy engineering studies and commissioning

  • Assist with technical reporting

  • Create, modify and interpret energy calculations and models

  • Perform site surveys and field investigations

  • Perform analysis of utilities & Energy Use Intensity

  • Perform design review and drawing takeoffs

  • Research new technologies and equipment

  • Deploy data loggers, review control trends and evaluate results

  • Additional duties as determined

 

Requirements

 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in professional environment

  • Experience with investment grade energy audits and ECM reporting a plus, but building energy experience is of particular interest

  • Certifications or willingness to pursue CEM, CEA, LEED, or PE license

  • B.S. or M.S. in relevant engineering discipline required

  • Project management experience a plus but not required

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision making capabilities

  • Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information

  • Ability to work well independently and in a team setting, as well as with outside clients

  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)

  • Detail oriented and the ability to balance and manage multiple tasks and deadlines

  • Ongoing training and education will be provided to build a solid knowledge of diagnostics testing and keep staff current on latest industry developments

  • Regular local travel is required for this position and successful candidate must have reliable personal vehicle. Also must be available to travel at least 2 weeks per year outside of the New England area

  • A current and valid driver’s license and clean driving record

  • Employment contingent on satisfactory background check

 

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
