Description

We are building and enhancing new online, mobile and tablet enabled applications using best of breed technologies.  We are also using the latest .NET technology to build RESTful Web services which support integrated web applications built upon the Kentico CMS .NET framework using .NET, HTML5, and Responsive Design strategies, all running on a modern cloud computing platform.

We are an agile development shop and follow a test driven development approach to build quality in to our software from the start of the development process. Our teams rely on Scrum and Kanban development methods.

 

Position Summary:

 

The individual selected for this position will be an experienced Scrum Master with a proven record of effectively serving both the team and the business through efficient process management, team improvement, and impediment resolution. Delivering results with value to the customer is our primary goal. The Scrum Master will be an effective servant leader for two subteams that comprise the larger web applications development team. Some members of the team are collocated in different time zones. This position reports to the Director of Product Development.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Act as Scrum Master for 2 scrum teams with a focus on guiding the teams towards improving work processes
  • Facilitate sprint planning, retrospective and sprint demos
  • Assist the product owner with keeping the backlog groomed
  • Ensure cross-team coordination
  • Reach out to the larger company network for impediment removal
  • Maintain relevant metrics that allow team members to observe project progression.
  • Act as a project manager when necessary. Responsible for managing dependencies between our team, third parties and other scrum teams.
  • Proactively engage in impediment removal across teams within the department
  • Assist in the preparation of required documentation

 

Requirements

  • 2+ Years of Scrum Master experience
  • Knowledge of the software development life cycle
  • Knowledge and/or experience of Kanban
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Certified Scrum Master/Scrum Practitioner highly preferred
  • Experience in both Scrum and Kanban desirable
  • Working knowledge of web applications, APIs, and CMS systems highly desirable
  • Experience working on cloud computing platforms desirable
  • Experience working with collocated teams (including offshore, time differential teammates)
  • Software company experience highly desirable

 

 

 

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
