Description

Conservation Services Group, Inc. (CSG) seeks a full-time Account Manager for the ENERGY STAR® New Homes program, managed from its Peoria, IL office. This is an entry-level management position providing customer and contractor support to the program. CSG is one of the fastest growing and most diverse energy efficiency and renewable energy companies in the country. The Peoria office is responsible for implementing programs in the Ameren Illinois service territory, related to energy efficiency, health and safety, improved comfort, and increased home value to homeowners.

The Account Manager will strive to engage and enroll trade allies and new construction contractors in the northern half of the Ameren Illinois service territory, pursuant to the goal of improving the energy efficiency of new homes beyond the current energy code. The successful candidate will work remotely from a home office and report to the Peoria office in person once per week, on average.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Increase program participation by identifying homebuilders, HERS raters, and other new construction contractors, qualifying them as potential program prospects, and developing them into program partners.
  • Manage builder, HERS rater, customer, and program ally relationships. Present program goals and opportunities, develop/facilitate/nurture business relationships, and explain technical/operational issues to customers, participating contractors, and program allies.
  • Work with program manager to establish performance goals for participating contractors and monitor progress toward goals.
  • Stay current on latest Program initiatives, policies, procedures, etc. and propose ideas for improvement. Develop advanced technical knowledge in energy efficiency and building science.
  • Track and enter all required program data in an accurate and timely manner. Provide proper and timely reporting of program progress.
  • Ensure Program Allies are aware of all current program guidelines, incentives and requirements and are properly equipped and trained to participate in the program. Provide contractor training, in classroom or one-on-one as needed.
  • Make public presentations at industry/trade conferences and promote program and CSG.

Requirements

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or equivalent experience. A current BPI certification and/or RESNET certification is preferred. RESNET certification within six months of hire date will be required.
  • 5-7 years experience selling or managing projects in the fields of residential home construction, home improvement, or HVAC; or 3-5 years administering energy conservation marketing programs.
  • Strong client relationship management skills and enthusiasm for energy conservation. Ability to effectively communicate technical and program concepts to contractors, consumers, and other interested people or organizations. Excellent people skills, very good presentation and writing skills. Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Computer proficiency, experience with Windows-based office applications required. Familiarity with computerized building energy modeling software such as REM/Rate, ResCheck and Home Check, Manual J, or other residential construction software required (may be acquired on the job).
  • Expertise in energy efficient residential construction and building science

 

 

 

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
