We at GreenJobs are committed to protecting your privacy and the following statement outlines how personal information will be treated by us.
Anyone may search for jobs on GreenJobs at any time without giving any personal information. However, if you choose to register as a jobseeker, which is required to apply for jobs, you will be required to volunteer personal information such as name and contact details and to create a password. Your email address and password are your means of accessing your account on GreenJobs. As a registered member you can search and apply for jobs and you also have the option of putting information about your job search on the site. This includes resumes and cover letters which you may wish to use in job applications as well as other information which may be searched by recruiters provided you have given the required authorization. Recruiters wishing to post jobs or search resumes must also register and in doing so must volunteer sufficient personal details to permit their identification (essentially name, company and position). All personal data is input on a voluntary basis. In common with other sites, GreenJobs also collects some information automatically when you use the site and this includes your IP address, cookie information and which parts of the website are used.
Job Seeker contact details may be used by recruiters who may have an interest in employing them. Your password, whether a Job Seeker or Employer, is used to verify your identity whenever you access the site. The remainder of the Job Seeker personal information, which you enter into the site, is used by recruiters to assess your capabilities and desires against their vacancies.
The general information gathered by the website, such as IP address, page favorites and cookies, is used to improve our service to you and enable us to conduct certain research, particularly into site use and traffic patterns, which allow us to plan for the future.
All registered users may receive electronic communications from Greenjobs, including a weekly newsletter; each newsletter contains an unsubscribe link that recipients can use to prevent receipt of future issues; the newsletter distribution list is independently maintained by an accredited email marketing organization and Greenjobs cannot add back any email addresses that have been unsubscribe.
GreenJobs does not use the information to sell services and will not contact jobseekers unless in connection with job opportunities matching their qualifications. Contact with employers and recruiters will be in connection wth services currently provided or offers for planned future services.
Your Job Seeker personal information will never be disclosed or disseminated by GreenJobs to anyone other than registered recruiter members who wish to consider you for an existing vacancy.
The sole exception to this commitment is when we are required by law to release information
GreenJobs uses all reasonable precautions to ensure that access to the personal information held on the site is restricted to its owners, employers/recruiters who are authorized, registered members and governmental agencies (security and law enforcement). However we cannot guarantee that the website will not be penetrated by unauthorized persons. The Agreement with authorized users limits the use they can make of personal information obtained from GreenJobs to evaluation against current vacancies. However we cannot guarantee that the information will not be retained or disseminated by them and GreenJobs is not responsible for the use to which authorized or unauthorized users make of the information they copy and retain. When you post personal information and/or a resume on the site, you are given certain privacy options which allow you to specify how much, if any, information can be seen by recruiters. You are free to use the site as storage for information to be used in applying for jobs on the site and may exclude you information from recruiter searches.
