What will you do in this role?

Lead and inspire

  • Manage and mentor a team of systems engineers and cross-functional experts to design, develop, and verify cutting-edge SAR spacecraft.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop engineering talent, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Drive technical excellence

  • Analyze, model, and optimize the performance of integrated SAR satellite systems, both on the ground and in space.
  • Perform mission analysis and develop concepts of operations (CONOPS) to support system design.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance reliability, scalability, and performance for on-orbit operations.

Ensure mission success

  • Support customers and program management with mission analysis, system documentation and on-orbit validation and verification.
  • Support launch, early operations and commissioning activities, ensuring successful deployment and operation of the spacecraft.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.

Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in spacecraft systems engineering or related field.
  • Proven track record of leading a team of 3 to 8 R&D engineers directly reporting to you. 
  • Hands-on experience with satellite systems, RF systems, or remote sensing technologies from concept to operation.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of spacecraft systems, and subsystems (e.g., power, thermal, avionics, propulsion).
  • Experience in systems engineering processes, requirements management, and verification methodologies.
  • Proficient in tools such as Python and STK.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Understanding SAR principles would be a plus
