- Responsible for specification and design and operation of the Automation and Control equipment of all the Pilot plants and Skids in the Innovation Centre
- Responsible for planning and overseeing preventive maintenance, testing and repair of the Instrumentation and Control equipment in Innovation Centre ensuring minimum Downtime
- Ensure that work assignments and sub-contracted work packages are delivered to appropriate technical requirements safety & quality standards.
- Expert input across the wider organisation on active industrial and development projects, providing technical solutions and deliverables as per international codes & Standards
- Support the plan and schedule of various trials and identify success criteria for validation trials at Pilot Plant in coordination with the Technology & Operations team.
- Document trial reports and summarise lessons learnt and improvement areas. Be data driven.
- Link Pilot plant trials and results to Product feature integration
- Design ensuring HSE, Operability, Standards of entire Carbon Clean and Customer ecosystem.
- Conduct Risk Assessment in respective functional areas / interface.
- Where needed, design, specify and work with external vendors on equipment installation and integration.
- A engineer with a bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation engineering, or similar, is preferred
- Minimum 5 years of Experience of working within an Chemical Manufacturing Industry, Engineering consultancy or EPC.
- Knowledge of working principles, design & installation standards and work procedures for all field instruments.
- Knowledge and proven experience of O&M of field Instruments as well as control room automation (DCS/PLC).
- Knowledge and experience of working with gas separation technologies used in gas processing, gasification, carbon capture, or industrial gas processes preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a small, developing, and entrepreneurial organisation; high level of flexibility and adaptability required.
- Develop strong working relationships with colleagues and other teams; build rapport through a consistent, confident and open communication style.
- Preventive and predictive maintenance planning and scheduling.
- 24 days holiday per year plus 10 gazette public holidays
