General Responsibilities
Manage and oversee a team of Supplier Quality Engineers activities on the 3 different locations (Attleboro, Thousand Oaks & Tijuana-Otay) to achieve internal and external customer’s requirements for Aerospace or Industrial Business unit; establish, meet and track all departmental objectives by leading, allocating and developing team resources.
Manage department performance by reviewing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), while checking work, tracking progress, enforcing company policy, training and motivating employees.
Champion individual and team efforts and aid in the development of professionals, to achieve individual leadership/accountability to company goals and objectives.
Build and communicate action plans, manage them actively and establishes a routine reporting structure within the organization at all levels.
Supports the team in correct application of the ST Supplier Selection Process, working with Purchasing to select and develop suppliers through regular assessment and plant visitations. Lead and/or participate in proactive and early involvement initiatives.
Respect the fundamentals of APQP/FAI to ensure the flawless launch of new products and the robust change of products already in serial production.
Ensure permanent supplier efficiency analysis through monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) reviews, in conjunction with the Regional Supplier Quality Manager.
Manage the implementation of supplier audits and visits for its corresponding suppliers assigned as well as process approvals, taking actions and controlling.
Support the SQ Engineers on supplier-related problem solving by 8D's, to address non-conformance, delivery problems, warranty cases and/or other performance issues as necessary; drive containment activities, communicate with the relevant internal/external contacts and ensure timely closure and effectiveness.
Direct contact of Sensata Customers in case of Supplier Non- performance or required Continuous Improvement activities as need it.
Initiates, supports, tracks and close loop on supplier escalation cases and improvement plans. Supports and manages the supplier recovery/ de-escalation
Support processing and disposition of supplier non-conformances and initiate supplier charge backs to recover costs associated with poor supplier performance.
Develop and share Best Practices within the organisation.
Promotes and supports the SENSATA Supplier Quality Manual [GSQM] within the supply base.

Excellent technical competence in Sensata relevant Supplier Commodities (Moulding, Machining, Stamping, amount others)

Knowledge of AIAG requirements and procedures such as PFMEAs, Control Plans, Part Approval Process and SPC.
Knowledge of AS9102 First Article Inspection and all the AS9100 standard
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering (mechanical or electrical)
5-7 years’ experience on manufacturing (process / project /quality areas).
3+ year’s management experience leading a multicultural team.
3+ years of experience in handling non- conforming parts and analysing suppliers' corrective actions: 8D; 5 Why; Look Across.
3+ years of experience in auditing (VDA 6.3 and/or ISO 9001/AS 9100).
AS9100 certified auditor is preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Others
American Citizenship required.
Valid car driving licence.
Valid Passport to travel outside the country.
Flexibility and ability to travel WORLDWIDE (up to 20% of work time)
Spanish speaking is a plus.
Base Salary Range:
$91,664.93 - $126,039.28At Sensata, our employees are the key to our success and growth.
