Individuals serve as a business representative for business specific systems or processes, to plan and manage improvement initiatives. This could include development of statistical analysis, business case preparation, time study analysis, cost benefit analysis and return on investment analysis. Provide subject matter expertise for PGO operations as well as other functional areas and has a knowledge of business process, system functionality and database tables, data analytics and work group metrics. They design, revise and implement solutions to meet customer & business needs.
Provides technical expertise and business process guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems and the advancement of opportunities
Designs, revises and implements solutions to meet customer and business needs
Works to integrate solutions into existing business processes. Helps to manage change and communications across multiple departments
Prepares thorough and accurate technical and business management reports, effective correspondence, accurate documentation and well-maintained records
Provides business analysis expertise including business and system requirements and validation for business & IT projects
Responsible for implementing and ensuring adherence to system specific policies & procedures
Define and develop key metrics to measure system/business performance. Lead data analysis that are across single work groups or systems
Support the development of the long-range and 5-year business plans, and budget for the department and assigned locations to ensure compliance with Company strategic plans
Ensures adherence to standards and best practices across multiple jurisdictional areas
Prior experience in supporting financial objectives of a team by monitoring and reporting on financial reports monthly for both capital and O&M budgets
Prior experience in developing and implementing a business unit communication strategy
Demonstrated ability to work independently and on ambiguously defined projects
Demonstrated ability to gather and utilize industry data in the preparation of executive communications, business cases and other potential strategic actions
Ability to lead and collaborate with all levels of internal and external parties
Administrative Support - 20%β’ Provide general administrative and organizational support to the PGO GM Vegetation and the PGO GM Fleet Services
Excellent communication skills (written, oral, presentation)
Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated basic understanding of utility operations (generation, T&D, customer, regulatory, commercial business)
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel and PowerPoint
Required/Basic Qualifications
Associates degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Information Technology, Communication, other related degree or Technical degree AND two (2) years required minimum related work experience
In lieu of Technical degree(s) AND 2 years related work experience listed above, High School/GED AND four (4) years required minimum related work experience
Desired Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Technical Business Administration or Business
Experience in the utility industry

Familiar with T&D work processes
Proficient in project management theories and principles.

Working Conditions
Hybrid Mobility Classification β Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period. However, hybrid employees should live within a reasonable daily commute to a Duke Energy facility
