The Role:

Xylem seeks to hire a Buyer (WSS) for a full-time role targeted to be based in Houston, TX. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to succeed in a fast paced, fluid environment, while ensuring that project initiatives are met. Core Responsibilities:

  • Purchase Order creation and management; execution and expediting on all orders

  • Negotiation techniques; obtaining the best value for Xylem including Price, Delivery and Payment Terms

  • Communicate and report changing schedules of delivery on materials/services

  • Liaison between Sales Team and Suppliers to ensure timely delivery

  • Manage priorities with End-users; monitor and maintain PO dates

  • Collaborate with Sourcing Team to onboard the best suppliers for the business

  • Establish and maintain excellent partnerships with Suppliers to contribute to business’ success

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide schedule updates to internal stakeholders with regards to expediting & delivery status

  • Maintain and continuously ensure accurate data in all required systems

  • Build, analyze and report on monthly key performance indicators (KPIs)

  • International travel required

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent procurement work experience

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities change frequently

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively interact with all levels of external and internal customers

  • Highly detail-oriented

  • Customer service-oriented

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP would be an asset

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office utilization, specifically Excel

  • Familiarity with Xylem products is a plus

  • Bilingual; English and Spanish

Salary range:

$63,600.00 - $101,800.00
