Summary:

The Analyst will play a key role within the Capital Markets group and the Portfolio Management subdivision. The primary responsibility set will be analyzing GoodLeap’s loan performance data and creating presentations to convey findings. This role will also work on related projects including forecasting future fundings, forecasting loss rates and prepayment speeds, and would support work on underwriting analysis and installer partnerships. The role will touch the entire lifecycle of the business and will have a high degree of visibility internally and externally. The ideal candidate will want to work in an analytical capacity, bring a strong base of technical skills, have a solid understanding of how a lending business works, and strong work ethic and interpersonal skills.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Analyze portfolio performance by updating GoodLeap’s monthly newsletter presentation, plus supporting other recurring cross-sectional analyses of portfolio analytics and loan attributes
  • Assist capital markets team members in quarterly underwriting guideline refresh and loan performance assumption modeling
  • Assist treasury and FP&A teams in funding forecast modeling from current approval pipeline.
  • Analyze the health of GoodLeap’s installer partners in relation to key performance indicators correlated with delinquency


Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
  • Minimum of 1 years of relevant experience in finance or consumer lending
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree; ideally in finance/accounting or math/statistics
  • Expert with MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint; VBA is a plus)
  • Working proficiency with Tableau
  • Working proficiency with SQL; Python is a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Superb attention to detail and work ethic
  • Basic understanding of loan underwriting, loan servicing, whole loan sales and ABS
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, unstructured environment
  • Passionate about the home improvement/ renewable energy sector

Compensation: $90,000 per year
