What you will do

Under general supervision of the Director of Consumer & Category Insights responsible for category management of assigned account(s) including heavy analytical support, line review, trend analysis and developing insights to drive customer performance.

How you will do it

  • Conduct line reviews for assigned account(s) including assortment recommendations, segment trend performance and providing strategies and tactics to drive sales
  • Ability to analyze and interpret consumer, customer, industry and sales data into actionable insights
  • Recommend strategies and tactics that can be implemented to drive sales performance, identify gaps or solve problems
  • Create and present market and consumer research to assigned account(s)
  • Provide recommendations/guidance based on market analysis or sales data
  • Develop accurate sales forecasts using historical data, market trends, and business intelligence
  • Build primary relationship with customer
  • Accurately maintain database(s) with sales and item attribute information
  • Accurately maintain master data for key account/non-key account customers
  • Expert in creating/maintaining standard operating procedures for all tasks and projects.
  • Support internal account team with unbiased recommendations based on knowledge of the market, industry, consumer and customer
  • Multi-task between projects and reporting/analytics with ability to adjust priorities based on opportunities/needs

What we look for

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, market research or related field
  • Category Management Association – Certified Professional Category Analyst and Category Manager certification
  • 5+ years Category Management experience
  • Proven ability to work with data from multiple sources, interpret data and turn into actionable insight
  • Experience in strategy development
  • Retail experience/background
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred

  • Delta Bronze and Silver certification preferred
