The intern in the Demand Planning department will work closely with all stakeholders to create a comprehensive unit level forecast with a min of 12-18 months' time horizon based on Business Unit segmentation decisions and Product Management guidance to include the latest market conditions and phase-in/ phase-out schedules.
General Responsibilities
- 路Using the defined Demand Planning inputs (3rd party data market trend, historical data, customer forecasts etc.) create and maintain a forecasting model to deliver an accurate demand signal.
- 路Ensure high levels of performance against KPI (Forecast accuracy & bias)
- 路Conduct what-if analysis and create scenario plans to assist in decision making on demand forecasting.
- Analyze forecast errors, find the root cause and define actions and initiatives to continuously improve unit level forecast accuracy.
Experience / Qualifications
- Advanced Planning System experience preferred (Demantra, SAP APO, Logility, Demand Solutions, etc.)
- An analytical mind with attention to detail and an ability to interpret data and recommend solutions
- Experience in developing internal and external customer relationships and building collaborative processes
- Strong communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft suites and data analysis tools (Tableau, Power BI etc.).
