The Domestic Market Demand Planner is responsible for forecasting and managing demand for Korea Domestic Aftermarket. This role involves analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and customer orders to ensure optimal inventory levels and efficient supply chain operations. The planner collaborates with sales, production, and logistics teams to align demand forecasts with business goals and customer expectations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Demand Forecasting & Planning

  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and sales inputs.
  • Utilize statistical models and forecasting tools to predict demand fluctuations.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to incorporate promotions, market events, and competitor activities into forecasts.

Inventory & Supply Chain Management

  • Ensure optimal inventory levels to balance supply and demand while minimizing stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Coordinate with supply chain and production teams to align production schedules with forecasted demand.
  • Monitor aged stock and develop strategies for inventory reduction and liquidation.

Sales & Order Management

  • Consolidate order demand, sales outlook, and backorders (due to production capacity) into a single demand plan.
  • Track and analyze order fulfillment performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Support sales teams with insights on product availability and lead times.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze demand patterns, customer behavior, and seasonality trends to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Provide regular reports on demand planning KPIs, such as forecast accuracy, fill rates, and aged stock levels.
  • Identify risks and opportunities in the market to support business decision-making.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with production, logistics, procurement, and finance teams to align demand plans with overall business strategy.
  • Communicate demand planning insights and recommendations to management.
  • Support new product launches and phase-outs with demand planning insights.

REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of experience in demand planning, supply chain management, or inventory management, preferably in the automotive or battery industry.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Proficiency in demand planning tools and ERP systems (e.g., QAD, SAP, or similar).
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of statistical forecasting techniques and market trend analysis.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Understanding of supply chain and logistics constraints affecting demand planning.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience handling aged stock and developing inventory reduction strategies.
  • Knowledge of automotive industry.
