Partner with extensive, long-standing clients such as municipal governments, conservation authorities, academia, and private industry
As an Environmental Technologist Student, you will join our Fort St. John, British Columbia office as part of our assessment, remediation, reclamation and monitoring (ARRM) team. The successful applicant will be involved in a broad range of projects with responsibilities as follows:
Active participation in maintaining Montrose’s strong safety culture
Assist with the field coordination and execution of Phase I, II, and III environmental site assessments, remediation and ground water monitoring programs
Support well abandonment activities including: surface reclamation, soil and vegetation assessments
Participate in spill responses and associated clean-up activities
Travel as required to support field programs
Assist with other service line projects when needed
What We Are Looking For
Must be enrolled in an environmental, geoscience, or engineering program at a recognized post-secondary institution
Excellent problem-solving ability
Site safety certifications and familiarity with off road vehicles, ½ or ¾ ton trucks would be considered an asset
Strong oral and written communication skills
A valid class 5 driver’s license (or class G or equivalent) with no restrictions.

This is a permanent position with a hourly rate range of $20.00-$25.00, starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location.
