Financial Controller is playing the pivotal part of business partnering with Leadership team at ERM Thailand and responsible for all finance related aspects (Accounting, Tax & Treasury; Controlling; Budget & Forecast, Legal &Compliance; Risk Contracting) for Thailand.

Duties & Responsibilities :

(1) Oversee and lead the accounting and finance and project administration for Thailand& Vietnam

  • Provide technical leadership for all accounting and financial management matters
  • Preparation of annual budget plans and monthly forecasts
  • Proactively provide headlight financial and business analysis, management reports that contribute to management decision-making
  • Review legal contracts (including client & subcontractor contracts)
  • Ensure complete transparency in the accounting and financial reporting processes and in all information being communicated within the company
  • Work closely with HR on payroll and compensation related matters
  • Work closely with finance professionals in the Regional offices

(2) Partner with business leaders in matrix

  • Act as a business partner to the Country Managing Partner, other senior staff in managing a rapidly growing region and a coach-mentor to finance staff.
  • Foresee and manage issues, provide direction and work with business leaders to maximize the margins of the company.

(3) Financial and Compliance Legacy

  • Ensure compliance all financial accounting and control policies
  • Timely and accurate reporting of month end accounts
  • Compliance with local taxation and statutory requirements
  • Liaise and work with auditors
  • Ensure that an adequate system of internal control is in place and properly monitored in order to protect the company’s assets and interests
  • Establish a culture that encourages the highest level of integrity and ethical behavior in all business activities

(4) Alignment with Global and Regional Corporate Services

  • Align with global and regional corporate services functions in order to execute policies of the Firm locally

Required Qualification:

  • Professional accounting qualification
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience, with at least 3 years experience in a senior finance position with MNC.
  • Strong grasp of statutory, legal, accounting and taxation requirements
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • In addition to being analytically strong, the candidate must possess the skill to provide a clear financial perspective on business to senior managers.
  • Be able to interact with senior business managers and explain financial perspectives, directions and compliance requirements clearly and meaningfully.
  • Good analytical skills, an inquiring mind and ability to think out of the box
  • Good people management and interaction skills with the ability to interact with senior managers
  • Be able to apply good business sense in assessing projects and determine management information requirements
  • Proactive and is keen to learn the business.
