Job Description Summary
Repsol has an opening for a Financial Accountant to support the CFO team based in the US. This position supports the Administration Manager with a broad range of G&A and Intercompany accounting duties.
Responsibilities
Responsible for month-end close tasks including preparation and posting of journal entries, accruals and review of general ledger activity associated with G&A for reasonableness.
Responsible for monthly prepaid amortization entries and monitoring of prepaid accounts.
Responsible for monthly G&A reclassification entries.
Maintain monthly balance sheet account reconciliations by resolving reconciling items and issues in a timely manner.
Liaise with internal and external auditors ensuring timely delivery of audit requests and resolution of outstanding issues.
Support internal control compliance.
Provide support for G&A ad-hoc requests from internal departments.
Collaboration with individuals from various teams and other offices regarding month-end close, accrual postings and management reporting deliverables.
Assist Intercompany Accountants with the review and analysis of daily loan cash movements, and monthly loan entries and validations.
Evaluate processes and controls for continuous improvement recommendations and efficiencies.
Education and Experience Requirements
The legal authorization to work in the US for any US employer without the need for sponsorship.
Bachelorβs degree in accounting.
2 plus years of accounting experience.
Oil & Gas company experience preferred.
Prior experience with SAP.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
