Reimagine What’s Possible

The individual will oversee the NA light duty fleet consisting of trucks and vans supporting the Air Products operations teams. The individual will work closely with outside vendor, Element whose web-based system is used to manage the Air Product’s light duty fleet. The individual will also be responsible for coordinating the transportation of fleet equipment going in and out of vendor repair rehabilitation shops. The individual will also have responsibility overseeing the warranty claims process for the NA fleet equipment in the Air Products fleet.

In this role, the individual with work with the NA Fleet Asset/Operations manager, fleet engineering, CE managers, site management, Logistics, and externally, with carriers and vendors. This role will allow the incumbent to develop an understanding of the NA fleet assets, how these assets support the business, and what is required to keep the equipment operating so the business can support Air Product’s customers.

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Must be a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills, an attention to detail, and an ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a lean organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Air Products light duty fleet consisting of ~450 vehicles utilizing an outside vendor’s Element’s web-based application, Xcelerate.
  • Work closely with the Element's account rep. to support light duty vehicles and drivers.
  • Support light duty drivers’ requests and problem solve issues the driver's experience.
  • Forecast light duty asset replacements by business group for the upcoming FY budget.
  • Coordinate equipment moves to and from rehab/repair shops with 3rd party carriers or the logistics team.
  • Mange the warranty process for Air Products tractors so the warranty claims being submitted by the NA fleet maintenance teams are reimbursed.
  • Lead a small team to ensure warranty claims submittals are correct, review unpaid claims, and communicate with the fleet maintenance teams.
  • Manage the scrapping and sales of fleet equipment working with fleet engineering, fleet maintenance, and site management.

Minimum Hiring Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management is preferred. Relevant fleet management experience is a plus.
  • Experience using EXCEL is required.
  • Air Products Supply Chain CDPs seeking a roll off position is welcome to apply.
