Green Building Consultant (Mid-Senior Level)

ERM Japan is looking for a green building consultant who are inquisitive, inspired, and keen to challenge the status quo to address the sustainability challenges facing businesses around the world.

Responsibilities:

You will play an integral role in delivering consulting services for ESG in the real estate sector including Green Building certification (LEED and WELL), GRESB, and ESG strategy for real estate clients. Areas of project focus will include:

• Analyze client documentation and identify improvement opportunities (gap analysis) for target Green Building certification and/or ESG goals
• Prepare client deliverables in the areas of ESG, climate change, circular economy, green buildings, renewable energy, sustainable finance, supply chain management, biodiversity, etc.
• Prepare submittal documents that demonstrate compliance with the requirements that withstand rigorous third-party verification review for green building certification programs, such as LEED and WELL. Support corporate sustainability and integrated reporting and ESG rating, climate-related accounting, and disclosure, including outlining, writing, editing, and proofreading content and other client communications.
• Participate in client meetings and design workshops and maintain required documentation.
• Assist in general business development research, marketing, and other development tasks.
• Support ERM Partners-in-Charge and Project Managers to effectively manage projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline; Master's degree preferred (environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, environmental science, architecture, green building design).
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in green building, building design, or construction, particularly within the green building sector or consultancy, is required. The level of the position may be adjusted based on the candidate's experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Japanese required the ability to translate complex issues into concise, relevant stories.
• Maintaining LEED and WELL AP credentials would be an advantage
• Can-do attitude and enthusiasm are necessary as is strict attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work quickly and efficiently. Strong analytical, logic, problem solver and systematic thinking skills
• Willingness to undertake short business travel.
  

Nice to haves:

• Demonstrate strong communication skills with MEP designers and contractors by using accurate terminology.
• Backgrounds in energy efficiency practices in the built environment
• Ability to translate energy consumption data into GHG emissions
• Energy or daylight simulation experiences

グリーンビルディング認証(LEEDおよびWELL)、GRESB、不動産クライアントのESG戦略など、不動産セクターにおけるESGのコンサルティングサービスを提供するポジションです。

主な業務内容:
・クライアントのドキュメントを分析し、目標とするグリーンビルディング認証やESG目標に対するギャップの分析、および改善へのサポート
・ESG、気候変動、循環型経済、グリーンビルディング、再生可能エネルギー、持続可能な金融、サプライチェーンマネジメント、生物多様性などの分野におけるクライアントの成果物の作成
・LEEDやWELLなどのグリーンビルディング認証プログラムの厳格な第三者検証審査に耐えうる要件に準拠していることを証明するための提出書類の作成
・ クライアントの持続可能性や統合されたレポート、ESG格付け、気候関連会計、情報開示のサポート(コンテンツやその他のクライアントコミュニケーションのアウトライン作成、執筆、編集、校正等)
・クライアントとのミーティングや設計ワークショップに参加、必要なドキュメンテーションの管理
・ビジネスデベロップメント調査、マーケティング、その他業務の支援
・ERMのパートナーやプロジェクトマネージャーをサポートし、プロジェクトを効果的に管理する

〇応募要件
• グリーンビルディング、建築設計、または建設領域において、グリーンビルディング部門やコンサルタントとして2〜5年程度の経験をお持ちの方
• ネイティブレベルの日本語力(ドキュメンテーションやプレゼンテーションの際に必要です。複雑な課題を端的に説明が求められます)
• 英語力(日常会話程度 社内システムは英語環境です。英語でのメールのやり取りが発生します。)

• 関連分野の学士号; 修士号(環境工学、機械工学、電気工学、環境科学、建築、グリーンビルディングデザイン)をお持ちの方
• MEPデザイナーや関連業者と正確な用語を用いて、コミュニケーションスキルを発揮できる方
• 建築環境におけるエネルギー効率に関する知見・経験
• エネルギー消費データをGHG(温室効果ガス)排出量に変換する経験
• エネルギーまたは昼光シミュレーションの経験
• 英語力(ビジネスレベル以上の方歓迎します)
• LEEDおよびWELL APの資格保有者
