Position Overview

The Apollo Origination COO team is seeking an Analyst to work directly with the Head of the Europe Sponsor Origination and the broader Europe Sponsor Origination team to execute on Apollo’s Origination priorities. As a member of the Origination COO team, the Analyst will focus on driving initiatives within the European Sponsor Origination group and ensuring the team’s collective success. The Analyst will have the opportunity to join Apollo’s growing Origination business, a key focus of the firm, to drive the day-to-day operations and management of the business alongside the Head of European Sponsor Origination, members of the European Sponsor Origination team, other COOs, and senior leadership across the firm.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Directly support the Head of Europe Sponsor Origination to ensure efficient and effective operation across the team and coordination with the broader firm and senior leadership

  • Help the team identify potential challenges, proactively problem-solve, and establish and track KPIs

  • Partner with members of the Origination team to facilitate prioritization of client coverage and manage deal pipeline

  • Work closely with the Head of Europe Sponsor Origination and other Origination members to provide regular business updates to senior leadership and ensure follow-through on key initiatives

  • Build relationships with Apollo and external stakeholders to drive collaboration and partnership on various projects, processes, and investment opportunities

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in leverage finance, capital markets, or investment banking

  • Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills to implement and improve processes

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Robust interpersonal and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to prioritize time-sensitive deliverables and workstreams

  • High level of maturity to process sensitive information with discretion, maintain professionalism under pressure, and make sounds decisions in different types of situations

  • Appreciation for working in a rigorous and fast-paced environment with a team-oriented mindset

  • Undergraduate degree with a record of academic achievement
