As a Junior Environmental Scientist/Technologist you will join our, office as part of our Assessment, Remediation, Reclamation and Monitoring (ARRM) team. The successful applicant will be involved in a broad range of projects with responsibilities as follows:
Active participation in maintaining Montrose strong safety culture
Lead simple to moderately complex contaminated site field investigations or reclamation projects
Act as a leader in the workplace using Montrose Standard Operating Safety and Technical Procedures
Supervise junior staff and sub-contractors
Initial interpretation of field data to make field-related decisions
Work with senior technical advisors to ensure high quality products that meet our clients’ unique project needs
Communicate and liaise with clients and project related stakeholders
Manage project related timelines and budgets
Preparation of technical correspondence, proposals, work plans, cost estimates, and summary reports
Function effectively as part of a collaborative team
What We Are Looking For
Experience managing assessment, reclamation, remediation and monitoring projects for Oil and Gas clients within a consulting environment would be considered an asset
A degree or technical diploma in environmental science, geology, hydrogeology or engineering
Eligibility for registration in or maintaining a good standing in a professional organization
Self-motivated and possess strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to provide technical direction and mentorship to more junior professionals
A strong knowledge of Saskatchewan regulatory framework
Experience writing technical reports
A valid and clean driver’s license with no restrictions.

This is a permanent position with a Hourly rate range of $24.04-$37.50, starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location.
