Position Information:

Locations: Binghamton, NY; Rochester, NY; or Augusta, ME

Salary: $78,000 - $97,600

Schedule: Onsite - Office

Job Summary

Work collaboratively or independently within the department, business area or the enterprise to monitor and analyze various aspects and components of cost and performance to identify gaps and opportunities. Leads, analyzes, and accounts for the technical services and operational budgets and expenditures. Provides assistance on financial and Regulatory matters for all operating departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads initiatives to gather, manipulate, analyze, and provide reporting of asset data. Works with large and often incomplete data sets. Develop variations of analytical and reporting. (20%)
  • Responsible for development, analysis, and reporting of O&M and Capital budgets for technical Services and Operations. (20%)
  • Recommends and implements enhancements to the SAP system (TM1) to meet operations objectives. (20%)
  • Collaborates with ASC Control and OpCo Controllers in the preparation of budget development, variance analysis, and projections. (20%)
  • Interacts with subject matter experts to make sure department financial practices are effective, data is properly gathered and analyzed, and applications are structured for optimum effectiveness. (20%).

Required Qualifications

  • Education & Experience Required:
    • Associates Degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience or High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 years relevant experience required.
  • Skills/Abilities:
    • Proven analytical and problem - solving abilities.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
    • Advanced PC skills including demonstrated proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, etc.) for spreadsheets and database management.
    • Advanced knowledge of SAP
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage projects and multiple priorities.
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively interface with all levels of the organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ Degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience
