Are you a motivated student looking to make a real-world impact through your academic work? We're seeking a driven individual to conduct a Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) of one of Xylems monitoring and control products, exploring its environmental impacts from cradle to grave.

About the Project

Xylem wants to deliver products that can reduce the customers environmental impact and this would be an opportunity to measure one products footprint.

Through this thesis project, you'll be responsible for performing a detailed LCA, identifying key environmental hotspots, and proposing actionable recommendations to improve the product's sustainability profile.

What You'll Do

- Gather and analyze data across the full life cycle of a chosen monitoring and control product (raw material extraction, production, usage, and end-of-life).

- Use LCA methodologies and tools (e.g., GaBi, SimaPro, or OpenLCA) to evaluate environmental impacts.

- Collaborate with our team of experts and access company resources to support your research.

- Analyze the existing routine and suggest improvements

- Prepare a comprehensive thesis report and present findings to stakeholders.

Your Profile

- Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering with interest in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.

- Strong analytical skills with experience or coursework in Life Cycle Assessment.

- Familiarity with LCA software and frameworks is a plus.

- Enthusiasm for sustainability and making a positive impact.
