We are Hiring a Materials Specialist in Aguascalientes, MX!
The Materials Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of inventory processes. This role involves conducting regular inventory audits, analyzing inventory data, and implementing process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency. The Specialist works closely with other departments to resolve inventory issues and support overall business operations. this position will be responsible for all aspects of materials flow. Successful candidates will be strong leaders who can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and have a consistent track record of continuous improvement.
Core Responsibilities:
Inventory Management
Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels
Identify and report any discrepancies or shortages in inventory
Develop and implement inventory control procedures
Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate inventory updates
Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile any discrepancies
Coordinate all activities with our 3rd party warehouse, assess and ensure space availability and making sure raw materials movements and transactions occurs in a timely manner.
Maintain optimum inventory levels and while achieving financial objectives, reporting metrics to the business and working with Finance and Operations group to prepare the inventor budget, forecast, reserve, analyze variances and initiate corrective actions.
Lead and coordinate the cycle count plan to make sure all items are classified according to the nature and dollar amount value of each item.
Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods
Maintain relationships and negotiate with contract manufacturers, supervising and coordinating purchasing activities that will affect production line continuity.
Provide support to our Contract Manufacturer to mitigate and resolve material shortages.
Interface with Operations regarding forecasting changes
Participate as a member of the Supply Chain team in making cross-function decisions.
Adhere to established company policies, procedures, terms and conditions and legal matters that affect purchasing policies
• Evaluate supplier performance and make recommendations for improvement
• Monitor and track supplier performance metrics
• Identify and implement cost-saving measures in the supply chain
Data Analysis and Reporting
Identify trends and make recommendations for inventory optimization
Provide regular updates and reports to management on inventory status and performance
Reconcile AR/AP issues and drive root causes and corrective actions.
Review of excess and obsolete claims
•US Tourist Visa to travel to USA.
•Ability to travel up to 25%
•Working knowledge and broad understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their use in a manufacturing environment.
