The North America Regional Treasury Manager would be responsible of day-to-day activities in treasury functions to meet the financial obligations of the organization. Performs treasury activities related to cash flow, borrowings, and debt and capital study/analysis. Responsible for carrying out the development and implementation of Treasury functions. To assess, monitor, plan and manage the efficient utilization of cash and financial services in a manner consistent with the objectives of the Company
Roles & Responsibilities:
Responsible for supervising both Front Office and Back Office Treasury units for the company operation in US and Canada.
Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and available funds for investment.
Develop everyday cash position report comprising of forecasting every week cash receipts plus disbursements
Review in order to provide to Head Quarters the daily cash position, estimate and analysis.
Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
Maintain local banking relationships, in close coordination with Head Quarters.
Arrange for equity and debt financing.
Maintain a system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over treasury activities
Assist SOX compliance plus testing for entire Treasury department.
Develop, monitor and upgrade Treasury department budget.
Maintain industry knowledge of treasury solutions, pricing and products to keep Company Cash & Treasury Management products current and competitive. Evaluate and Implement new products as necessary.
Produce various management and audit reports on customers.
Responsible for compliance with the applicable laws, rules and regulations impacting cash management services
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
10 plus years of progressively responsible treasury experience for a major company.
Should have a thorough understanding of trading derivatives, investments, bank account management, and international funds flows.
Should have Energy sector experience.
Advanced in Microsoft Excel, PBI, experience with SAP is an advantage
Able to motivate and impact organization toward more sophisticated financial controls and management processes
Experience in performing multiple projects and working with team members who do not necessarily report into this function or have a background in Treasury or Cash Management.
The flexibility and independence to work in a changing and unstructured environment. Ability to work interdependently within a team.
Experience in writing internal policies and procedures and process evaluation and documentation
Bilingual in English/Spanish would be an asset, since this position will work in frequent contact with Head Office experts.
