Job Title: Project Manager - Major Construction

The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from: $103,939 - $129,924
Job Summary
The Project Manager will manage engineering and construction activities during the pre-construction and construction phases of new projects and during modifications to existing projects for Avangrid Renewables. The Project Manager will provide recommendations on costs, schedules and other factors for construction and operations of proposed or existing energy facilities. He or she will also manage project activities ,including budgeted cost and schedule, during the engineering, procurement, and construction phases of Company's projects.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for developing design, procurement and construction contracts during project pre-construction phases.
Collaborates with project engineers and construction site managers to ensure that project milestones are met safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Collaborates in negotiation and management of engineering, procurement, and construction ("EPC") activities.
Works with a team of professionals who provide technical expertise and project support through design, construction, commissioning and operations.
Provides periodic updates to company management on project activities, progress and issues.
Assists with technical due diligence in conjunction with other
Ensures process feedback mechanisms are implemented and utilized for identifying process efficiencies and improvements, including process and functional quality audits, and focusing on Company strategic initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related study.
5+ years experience in project engineering and construction of electric generation projects.
2+ years experience in project development or management.
Demonstrated oral and written communication, effective negotiating and dispute resolution skills.
Proficiency using personal computer tools such as Word, Excel, Primavera P3, and Thermo-flow GT Pro/GT Master.
Ability to travel 20%.
Preferred Qualifications
A working knowledge of construction law, contracts, claims avoidance, insurance, and contract administration.
Ability to foster and participate in a productive team environment by establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers, managers, customers, contractors, and vendors.
Ability to analyze project risks and proactively identify solutions with a flexible, creative, and solution-focused outlook on problem solving.
Maintains effectiveness during procedural/organizational changes and when dealing with varying personality styles and tasks.
Effectively provides and receives information orally in individual and group situations. Written expression is clear, concise, and conveys the desired message.
Ability to navigate and succeed in a highly matrixed reporting structure, preferably at an international company.
