The Role

Apollo’s growing U.S. Corporate Origination team is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Associate to support various aspects of origination, coverage, and the investment process. As a main point-of-contact, the Associate will work closely with senior coverage officers to build and maintain strong relationships with Apollo’s accounts. The Associate will also be responsible for leading transactions and managing ad hoc projects, including preparing pitch materials, creating presentations, and responding to investor requests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support mid/senior level originators in directly sourcing credit-oriented investment opportunities with financial corporates
  • Provide support for team’s idea generation and screening as well and marketing materials for corporate clients; attend client meetings as required
  • Work alongside credit underwriting team across various investment grade products such as direct lending, structured equity, securitization and HVF

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2-5 years of analyst experience at a leading investment bank preferably within a coverage team such as financial corporate or sponsor coverage, software/technology, media/telecom, healthcare, consumer/retail, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to multitask; self-starter and team player
  • Strong financial modeling, data analysis and presentation (i.e. PowerPoint) skills
  • Excellent written, oral communication and reasoning skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a rapidly evolving environment to meet deadlines
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
