Service Technician - Field

Xylem is seeking a Service Technician- Field to work in our Kalgoorlie branch. The role will primarily be to service our customers in the field and require traveling to various sites across the region. You will be required to spend multiple nights away from home. When not required to attend to field service carry out duties within the workshop. This role will repair Xylem equipment in the field and workshop with a focus on Godwin diesel pump sets.

You will have a mechanical trade qualification preferably with a diesel leaning, like to trouble shoot, are solutions focused, will live by our “Accept Only Zero” safety culture, and provide exceptional Customer service.

The role:

• The role will require a high level of autonomy being able to manage all aspects of workload requirements.
• Work closely with Service Supervisor to coordinate workloads.
• Manage a service vehicle to ensure fitted out with all required parts and tooling to support a service run.
• Communicate directly with customers to recommend improvements, upgrades, and solutions.
• Train and support other employees, including temporary or contract team members.
• Liaise with manager to provide direction and support to the team to achieve set goals and maximise efficiency.
• Carry out on site servicing of Xylem products and emergency work on pumping and associated equipment on customers sites.
• Prepare service reports and updates.
• Repair, monitor and install equipment as required.
• Inspect and test products prior to dispatch to customers.

About you:

• Trade qualified in a mechanical and or/ electrical fitting environment.
• Great attention to detail and time management skills.
• High attention to detail in account keeping
• Must be a good communicator with a great attitude.
• Ability to travel throughout the Goldfields Region
