General Responsibilities
Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs.
Analyse customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine design feasibility and application potential.
Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of structural, thermal, dynamic, and thermal-electric systems.
Develop and validate FEA models, including physical experiments where necessary.
Interpret and explain simulation results to stakeholders, ensuring technical accuracy and relevance.
Collaborate with engineers, developers, and marketing teams to create product designs and support future sales plans.
Apply knowledge of material models and multiphysics phenomena (e.g., electric-magnetic-mechanical, thermal-electrical problems) to improve simulation outcomes.
Experience / Qualifications
A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks).
Proven experience in FEM calculations and FEA software (e.g., ANSYS).
Strong mechanical and physics background; knowledge of multiphysics phenomena is an advantage.
Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with a demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.
Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation (English proficiency at a minimum B2 level).
Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
