What you will do:
Responsible for all project management responsibilities including cost estimation, partner management and cost management. Ensure timely communication of accurate pressure and flow parameters for design, costing and station selection.
Serve as a key contact for field staff and is accountable to provide accurate planning record information, network analysis, affected customer data, system isolation information, and other distribution planning information during system emergencies.
As a subject matter advisor, demonstrate a sound understanding of the construction industry as well as operations and maintenance to be able to develop and communicate mitigation strategies related to construction execution risks.
Responsible for the development of the program for prioritizing and justifying replacement of distribution plant, to ensure integrity of the system. Responsible to develop and cost estimate a group of replacement projects to meet an overall targeted budget amount.
Attend Public Utility Coordinating Committee meetings in order to collaborate closely with utility and municipal managers and staff to tackle problems, co-ordinate joint projects, minimize overall costs while improving cost sharing and maintaining a mutually efficient environment to operate within the municipality. Represent the Company and the Distribution Planning Department at other partner meetings, such as other utilities or agencies to negotiate the companyβs position on various planning issues or projects such as relocations.
Who You Are
You will have the following education and experience:
Related university degree and 2 years of previous related experience (Operations or Construction, preferred)
OR 4+ years of related construction or operational training and/or experience.
An equivalent combination of formal education and experience may be considered.
Project management experience and detailed understanding of Distribution Operations procedures and a familiarity with Planning, Design & Records, Operation & Maintenance, and Construction functionalities.
Strong communication skills; experience in successful conflict resolution and leading multistakeholder projects.
Working knowledge of Maximo, e-GIS, Synergy and planning documents and records is desired.
Exposure to Asset Management systems and application of technical specifications; familiarity with pipeline asset records and design specifications is desired.
Business, industry and company knowledge to perform design analysis function effectively, recognizing impacts on capital dollars, financial acumen and understanding Policies, Standards and Regulations is an asset.

Working Conditions
This role is comprised both office and field work, approximately 80%-20%, respectively. A valid class G driversβ license and maintenance of a responsible driving record required.
Occasional travel may be required within the region.
This role requires participation in emergency on-call response covered on a rotating schedule to support field forces for system emergencies occurring anywhere across the entire EGI System.
