THE ROLE: The Sr Director, Product Management for the Americas Commercial Buildings Division will develop and execute the product strategy and roadmap, understanding customer needs, and ensuring successful product launches. This leadership position is responsible for driving customer discovery and New Product Development (NPD) execution. This position plays a crucial role driving growth and profitability by aligning our offerings with our growth markets and end segments and is responsible for developing and executing strategies to expand our portfolio and capture market opportunities in high-growth sectors. Strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and market insights will be essential in driving the success of our business.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Develops and implements the Commercial Buildings product portfolio strategic plan, including product development projects and marketing programs to obtain growth in incoming orders and sales and ensure continued growth and profitability of product line.
• Manage and plan all strategic short-term and long-term objectives or business plans for the product line portfolio, including revenue growth, market share, strategic pricing, price realization, profitability, and product quality metrics.
• Oversee the entire lifecycle of products within the portfolio, from concept development through to end-of-life decisions
• Stays abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation
• Develops and owns product roadmaps and the execution of product lifecycle management.
• Routinely participates in and reports out product line financials, including forecasting and performance to plan.
• Collaborates closely with Sales, Marketing, Business Development, R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality to define product roadmaps, feature enhancements, and product differentiation strategies.
• Continuously develops, mentors, and manages the product management team
• Serves as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on portfolio strategy, performance, and market dynamics
• Builds strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and key customers to drive development opportunities and enhance product offerings
• Accountable for product portfolio P&L; responsibility for volume, price, margin, and profit
• Foster our high impact culture of empowerment to lead, inspire to innovate, and accountability to deliver while encouraging creativity, champion for collaboration and continuous learning.
• Additional duties and responsibilities may be required based on organizational needs

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BS degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; advanced degrees a plus
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management or related roles
• Proven track record of driving portfolio growth and capturing market opportunities
• Experience with Agile development processes and stage-gate type product development cycles
• Strong leadership and people management skills; lead with integrity
• Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with a global strategy mindset
• Ability to analyze market trends and customer needs to identify growth opportunities
• Ability to drive change and process improvements, influence key stakeholders, prioritization and planning
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and results oriented and customer focused
