Supply Chain Manager LATAM

Local: São Paulo-SP

Purpose

The Supply Chain Operations Manager LATAM sits within Operations and Procurement and oversees the entire production process, from sourcing raw materials to shipment of finished products. This role integrates materials planning, logistics, foreign trade and customer service, ensuring seamless coordination across functions. The role also develops and implements supply chain strategies, policies, and formal procedures to enhance operational efficiency. By maintaining strong relationships with strategic partners, this role ensures reliable, cost-effective supply chain. The Supply Chain Operations Manager LATAM collaborates with production, sales, customer service, and finance teams, to align supply chain strategies with overall business goals, driving improved customer satisfaction, cost reduction, profitability, and company growth.

Primary Responsibilities

Strategic Planning: Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including logistics (inbound/outbound), foreign trade, warehouse management, customer service and demand and materials planning.
Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with logistics suppliers to ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and timely delivery of goods and services.
Inventory and Demand Planning: Collaborate with supply chain teams to optimize inventory levels, forecast demand based on market trends, and control logistics costs.
Team Leadership: Lead and develop the Supply team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability.
Cost Optimization: Identify and implement strategies for cost savings without compromising quality or operational efficiency.
Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate supply chain efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and address risks across the supply chain to ensure the timely and accurate fulfillment of customers' orders.
Compliance and Sustainability: Ensure supply chain practices adhere to regulations while driving sustainability initiatives and ethical practices.

Work Requirements

Knowledge

End-to-end supply chain management
Laws, regulations, and standards affecting supply chain operations, including trade compliance and environmental regulations
Local and international procurement of logistics, freight, indirect materials and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness within buying plan and quality standards
Budgeting, cost analysis, and financial planning to optimize supply chain costs.

Required and Preferred Education/Certification

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (required)
Advanced in English language (required)
Masters in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business Administration or related business area (preferred)
Certification in APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Black belt, Six Sigma, and Lean Management (preferred)

Required and Preferred Work Experience

10+ years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or related areas (required)
3+ years of proven experience in senior leadership positions, managing teams and overseeing large-scale supply chain operations (required)
Experience leading global or multi-country operations (preferred)
Proven track record in process optimization and cost reduction (preferred)
Strong background using ERP/SAP system (preferred)
