Are you an experienced Mechanical Technician looking for a new challenge? This position will be responsible for safely operating compressor stations ensuring safety and reliability. This is a maintenance and operations position based in CS6B (Lone Butte, BC). #joinourteam
What you will do
- Complete the Operator Qualifications Training program for each station within your region as required.
- Operate and maintain all facility equipment at station(s) throughout the region as required.
- Complete all required safety, operations, and maintenance training.
- Create/review procedures.
- Must be willing to work away from home if required and able to work On Call and Overtime.
- Work with support groups (Planner/Finance/Pipeliners, etc).
- Be capable of working all applicable Unifor 4960 shifts.
Who you are
You have the following qualifications and skills:
Required:
- Millwright or Heavy-Duty Mechanic Journeyperson.
- Valid driverβs license.
- Undergo various background screening that includes but is not limited to 5 year driving record, criminal check and drug testing.
- 3-5 years related work experience.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Preferred:
- Millwright and/or a Dual ticketed Journeyperson Electrician/ Instrument Mechanic in addition would be considered an asset.
- Experience working on Turbines.
- Experience operating a compressor station.
- Ability to multi-task and change duties quickly.
- Demonstrated self-starter.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to carry out daily duties with minimal supervision and support.
- Experience working in the oil & gas industry.
- Fourth Class Power Engineering Certificate.
