As an Vegetation Specialist, you will join our Edmonton, Alberta office as part of our Natural Sciences team. The successful applicant will be involved in a broad range of soil, vegetation, wetlands and wildlife projects with responsibilities as follows

  • Active participation in maintaining Montrose strong safety culture

  • Assist with the coordination and execution of soil surveys, vegetation and wetland surveys, and various wildlife surveys

  • Assist with field survey data management

  • Assist with the preparation of reports

  • Travel, often to remote locations, will be required to carry out field programs.

What We Are Looking For

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • 3+ years experience in pertaining field

  • A valid class 5 driver’s license with no restrictions.

  • Experience with off-highway vehicles (i.e., ARGO, UTV) and trailer towing would be considered an asset

  • Cares about their safety and the safety of others

  • Brings knowledge of terrestrial sciences and assessment practices

  • Works easily in a team

  • Is thoughtful, thorough and inquisitive in completing office and field tasks

  • Has energy and desire to support others and respond to the changing needs of a dynamic environment

We offer a comprehensive compensation package, which includes benefits, RRSP matching, vacation days and sick days. This is a permanent position with an hourly rate range of $30.00-$53.00, starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location. We are also committed to flexible work hours and schedules, team-based work, and cross-training opportunities.
