HOURLY RATE RANGE: $51.71-$54.70

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess Connecticut Trade License, “S” License preferred.
  • Must have good degree of mechanical and electrical aptitude as it relates to the servicing of HVAC equipment.
  • Must be a graduate of trade school or possess equivalent training in HVAC field.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Must have general knowledge of gas pressures, gas piping, equipment venting, meters, regulators and troubleshooting of HVAC equipment.
  • Must understand and demonstrate knowledge of safe practice in his work.
  • Must have willingness to work nontraditional schedules & overtime.

DUTIES:

  • *Turn on, off, set, change, or remove meters and service regulators.
  • *Adjusts, regulates, repairs, and cleans pilots, burners, orifices, controls and accessories on gas appliances as done in the past in a skilled manner and to the satisfaction of the customer, with a minimum of direct assistance.
  • *Inspects appliance installations, including service, regulators, meters, meter connections, house piping, appliance and venting facilities, to determine and correct problems in appliance operation.
  • *Installs parts on gas appliances.
  • *Takes orders from customers for appliance parts and accessories.
  • Does work of meter person or helper and performs other miscellaneous Customer Service work as required.
